Three NSCN (Angmai) Militants Neutralized in Joint Security Operation in Longding

In a significant blow to insurgency efforts in the region, a joint operation conducted by the Assam Rifles and the Indian Army in the Pongchau area of Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh, resulted in the elimination of three NSCN (Angmai) militants earlier today, April 27th.

The decisive action was initiated based on precise intelligence indicating the presence of a substantial group of approximately 15 cadres belonging to the NSCN (Angmai) faction, who were reportedly encamped within the specified area.

Responding swiftly to the intelligence, security forces launched a well-coordinated operation, which subsequently led to a fierce exchange of gunfire between the troops and the insurgents. In the ensuing confrontation, three NSCN (Angmai) cadres were neutralized. Following the encounter, security personnel successfully recovered three AK-47 assault rifles from the site, further underscoring the impact of the operation.

In addition to the fatalities, it has been reported that two other insurgents sustained critical injuries during the engagement. However, as of the latest reports, no further apprehensions of the remaining insurgents have been made.

Security forces have maintained an active operational posture in the area, with ongoing combing and search operations in full swing. These efforts are aimed at thoroughly sanitizing the region and neutralizing any potential remaining threats, ensuring the continued safety and security of the area.
