TIPRA Motha MLAs Stage Protest Demanding Re-Exam For Students 

Guwahati: Tipra Motha MLAs protested on the third day of the Tripura Legislative Assembly’s session on March 28 calling for a re-examination of some students who had allegedly been forced to write in Bengali.

Despite using the Roman character of the Kokborok language for their final exams at Ampi Nagar Higher Secondary School in the Gomati District the students were compelled to write in Bengali.

The MLAs asserted that the invigilator told the students to stop writing in Kokborok or else their answers paper would not be checked when they began writing the paper in Roman script in the Kokborok language.

Later, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha who is also Minister of Education promised to look into the matter.
