Tipra Motha Party Prepares for Upcoming Panchayat Elections in Tripura

Northeast Desk, 1st July: Tripura’s Tipra Motha Party is gearing up for the upcoming Panchayat Elections scheduled for the first week of August. Party president B K Hrangkhawl has issued directives to Block Presidents, urging them to finalize the list of contesting seats and probable candidates by July 4.

In a notice released by Hrangkhawl, he stressed the urgency of convening block-level meetings promptly. These meetings are intended to discuss and finalize the list of candidates and contesting seats in consultation with local elected representatives, including MLAs, MDCs, and Central Working Committee (CWC) members.

“The final list of contesting seats and the names of probable candidates must be submitted to Mevar Kumar Jamatia and Rajeshwar Debbarma, Members of the Central Working Committee (CWC), on or before July 4, 2024 (Thursday). This deadline is non-negotiable to ensure timely processing and coordination for the forthcoming election,” emphasized Hrangkhawl.

Earlier this week, former party chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma convened a meeting with all MLAs and Members of District Councils. During the meeting, he urged them to identify and support honest candidates who uphold the party’s values.

In a voice message, Pradyot reiterated the party’s dedication to contesting the Panchayat elections and underscored the importance of selecting candidates known for their integrity.

The Tipra Motha Party remains focused on preparing thoroughly for the upcoming elections, aiming to strengthen its presence in Tripura’s local governance landscape.
