Tokyo Olympics: Manipur’s Mirabai Chanu bags India’s first Medal
Guwahati: Manipur’s Mirabai Chanu has succeeded in bringing India its first Olympic medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by winning the silver medal in the 49 kg Women’s weightlifting.
26-year-old Mirabai Chanu belongs to the Kakching district in Manipur. She lifted 84 kilos and 87 kilos successfully but she failed to lift 89kg. But, the Indian lifter succeeded in bringing India its first medal.Prime
