Guwahati, 7th March: A body was discovered at Khyndailad Hotel Assembly in Shillong, identified as Sijo Jacob from Beltola, Assam, according to Aadhaar details from the hotel entry records.
The deceased had been occupying room number 206 in the hotel since February 28th.
The body has been transferred to Civil Hospital for a thorough postmortem examination.
The results of the postmortem will be crucial in uncovering the events leading to the demise.
The presence of blood stains in the deceased’s mouth raises questions about the circumstances surrounding his untimely death.
Authorities are currently probing the incident, and at present, the details concerning the cause of death remain undisclosed.
