Traffic Restrictions during President’s visit to Kohora & Tezpur
Guwahati: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) has issued an order imposing traffic limits in selected locations in order to guarantee smooth vehicular movement during President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Kohora and Tezpur.
The President will visit to Kohora on February 26 and to Tezpur on February 27.
Diversions/Restrictions:
- Movement of commercial goods carrying vehicles towards Tezpur town from Guwahati via Baihata Chariali, from Nagaon [via Koliabor Tiniali] & North Lakhimpur/Biswanath would remain restricted from 6:00 AM of 26/02/2022 to 3:00 PM of 26/02/2022.
- Movement of commercial goods carrying vehicles from Guwahati & Nagaon towards Kaziranga would remain restricted from 8 AM on 26/02/2022 till 4 PM on 27/02/2022. However, all commercial goods carrying vehicle can be diverted via Tezpur from Koliabor Tiniali towards Upper assam after 1:00 pm of 26/02/2022.
- Movement of commercial goods carrying vehicles coming from Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Jorhat side towards Kaziranga would remain restricted Bokakhat onwards from 10 AM on 26/02/2022 till 4 PM on 27/02/2022. However, they can move towards Guwahati via Tezpur after 3 PM on 26/02/2022.
- The long-distance passenger buses would be able to travel between Bokakhat and Bagori from 8:00 PM of 26/02/2022 to 4:00 AM of 27/02/2022.
- The Light Motor Vehicles carrying passengers would be restricted/regulated between 12 Noon and 7 PM on 26/02/2022 and 5 AM to 4 PM on 27/02/2022 between Bokakhat & Bagori depending on the VVIP movement.
- Ambulances/Vehicles carrying patients would be allowed priority passage during all times.
