National Desk, 27th July: A devastating accident in the Daksum area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district claimed the lives of eight family members, including two minors, on Saturday. The victims, who were traveling from Kishtwar, comprised a man, two women, and five children.
According to police reports, the Tata Sumo vehicle they were in lost control and plunged into a gorge near Daksum. Immediate rescue operations were launched, but the accident resulted in multiple fatalities.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
