Tragic Loss: CRPF Jawan from Assam Passes Away in Kashmir
Guwahati, 21st July: Jammu and Kashmir was struck by grief as news emerged of the untimely demise of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan hailing from Assam. The fallen soldier, identified as Tankeshwar Das, was serving in Anantnag, Kashmir, when the unfortunate incident occurred.
Hailing from Notunmati in Jorhat’s Moriani, Tankeshwar Das dedicated himself to serving the nation as a member of the CRPF. However, his life was cut short due to a heart failure, leading to his hospitalization in Kashmir.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Das could not be saved, leaving behind a wave of sorrow in his hometown and amongst his fellow soldiers. The news of his passing has plunged the entire Moriani area into a pall of gloom, as family members, friends, and community members come to terms with the loss of a brave and dedicated individual.
