Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Two Women in Assam
Guwahati, 15th September: In a tragic road accident in Assam, two women from the same village lost their lives, while four others were injured. The accident occurred at Baruaputa near Mukalmua on the road connecting Hajo and Doulashal in the Nalbari district of Assam.
The victims were traveling in a shared autorickshaw on their way to Amingaon when the accident happened. The autorickshaw was stationary when it was rear-ended by a speeding Tata Di pickup vehicle, resulting in the fatal injuries of two women.
The deceased women were identified as Malaya Kakati, aged 40, and Rinku Barman, aged 39. The injured individuals were identified as Rupali Pathak (35), Jonali Medhi (30), Thunu Talukdar (32), and Kabita Pal Das (27).
The vehicle responsible for the accident fled the scene and has not been located yet. Local police have launched a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
