Guwahati, 2nd October: In a devastating road accident, eight individuals sustained severe injuries when the vehicle they were traveling in lost control and crashed into a tree. The incident occurred on Sunday night along National Highway No. 17 in the Dhanubhanga area of Assam’s Goalpara district.
According to local sources, the accident unfolded as a Tata Ace vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree before ultimately ending up in a field. The force of the impact left the vehicle severely damaged and its occupants in critical condition.
Promptly responding to the scene, local authorities and the police quickly initiated a rescue operation. The injured individuals, including the vehicle’s driver, were carefully extricated from the wreckage and rushed to Rangjuli Hospital for immediate medical attention.
Due to the severity of their injuries, the medical staff at Rangjuli Hospital decided to transfer the injured victims to Goalpara Civil Hospital for more advanced medical treatment.
Investigations into the accident are ongoing, but it has been revealed that the vehicle was returning from Darangiri after delivering goods to a groom’s house when the tragic incident occurred.
