Train vs Car Collision in Assam’s Dhubri: All Occupants Miraculously Survive

Dhubri, Assam – A heart-stopping accident unfolded this Wednesday morning in Doomordoha, Dhubri, when a goods train collided with a four-wheeler, yet miraculously, all individuals inside the vehicle escaped unharmed. The incident, which caused significant damage to the car, led to a major traffic snarl on the national highway, bringing vehicular movement to a standstill for nearly an hour.

The incident took place as the four-wheeler, a Maruti Alto with registration number AS17-Q-8055, was navigating the railway crossing at Doomordoha. Eyewitnesses reported that a freight train, en route from Cooch Behar to Dhubri, struck the vehicle, which was in the process of crossing the tracks. The impact severely crumpled the car’s rear, a sight that suggested a much more tragic outcome.

Swift action by police and railway officials, who arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, was crucial in managing the situation.
