Guwahati, 1st March: Swati Bidhan Baruah, a transgender advocate from Guwahati, Assam, has claimed to have filed a rape case against a man found dead in his Pandu residence on May 29, 2023.

The deceased, identified as Mansur Alam, was taken into custody by the All Woman Police, Pan Bazar, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2019.
