National Desk, 11th February: The Trinamool Congress revealed its nominees for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections today, with TMC leader from Assam, Sushmita Dev, making the list.
In an announcement posted on X, the Mamata Banerjee-led party declared that Sushmita Dev, along with TMC leaders Mamata Bala Thakur and Mohammed Nadimal Haque, as well as journalist Sagarika Ghose, would stand as candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections.
“We offer our heartfelt wishes to them and hope they will strive to maintain Trinamool’s enduring legacy of unwavering determination and advocacy for the rights of all Indians,” the party stated in the announcement.
The elections for 56 Rajya Sabha seats across 15 states are scheduled to take place on February 27.
