Tripura: Abducted CPI (M) leader, Found In Forest Tied To Tree

Guwahati: A CPI (M) leader who was allegedly kidnapped from the Dakshin Charilam area within the Bishalgarh police station in West Tripura district by unidentified criminals has been rescued.

According to the police, the abducted CPI (M) leader Liton Saha was recovered on Monday with his hands and feet still tied to a tree in the jungle.

Locals claimed that a group of men in black masks reportedly arrived in front of a store at Dakshin Charilam around 8:30 pm on Sunday. The group held Liton Saha and quickly moved him away in a car.

When the party workers and Saha’s family heard the news, they quickly informed the police and also began searching for him.

Liton later claimed that he was kidnapped by 3–4 youths dressed in all black. He was then stripped and impaled in the woods.

This incident has sparked tension in the area.
