Tripura: AK Mishra Meets CM Manik Saha, Discusses Indigenous Development

Northeast Desk, 27th November: A.K. Mishra, retired IPS and Adviser (Northeast) of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), met with Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Monday to deliberate on comprehensive strategies aimed at the development of indigenous communities in the state.

The high-level discussions focused on outlining initiatives and plans to uplift the indigenous population of Tripura. Dr. Saha, in a statement following the meeting, highlighted the exchange of ideas on various aspects, including the government’s efforts in budget allocation, education, and overall development, particularly in areas densely populated by indigenous communities.

He requested A.K. Mishra to engage with representatives from various indigenous communities and connect with leaders from the indigenous wings of all political parties and student organizations.

The goal is to provide Mishra with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by these communities. Dr. Saha emphasized the importance of fostering development and expressed optimism that all communities, regardless of their backgrounds, will stand united, resolving differences through constructive discussions.
