Tripura: Bangladeshi Miscreants Set Ablaze House in Sepahijala
Guwahati: A house in an inner village in the Sepahijala district of Tripura near the Indo-Bangladesh border is said to have been set on fire by criminals from Bangladesh.
According to reports, the Border Security Force (BSF) complained about the incident to Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and urged that the offenders should be punished.
According to police record that was released after the incident took place in Sobhapur village before Wednesday morning. The affected home was situated at the zero line point of the border.
The Indian citizen whose home was set on fire is identified as Mizan Miah. The property was completely destroyed including the house and its contents.
The attackers committed trespass by using the BSF’s brief lapse in patrols at the boundary site.
The reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. However, reports claimed that a disagreement over border smuggling could be the reason.
