Tripura BJP Announces New District Presidents Following Elections

Agartala: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura has officially declared the names of its new district presidents after conducting elections today, with 37 candidates selected from a pool of 74 nominations. The announcement was made by Dr. Rajdeep Roy, the Prabhari of Tripura BJP, during a press conference.

Dr. Roy explained that out of the 74 nominations filed for the District Presidents’ positions, 37 applications were rejected, and the remaining nominations were accepted. He also provided details about the ongoing organizational efforts, stating, “The Sangathan Parv started on September 2, and by November 15, we had established new booth and Mandal committees. Today, we are announcing the district presidents of BJP, with the approval of the national election committees.”

The BJP has enrolled around 12 lakh members in Tripura as part of its organizational efforts. The district presidents announced include Kajal Kumar Das for North District, Bimal Kar for Unakoti, Pratiram Tripura for Dhalai, Binay Debbarma for Khowai, Gouranga Bhowmik for Sadar (Rural), Ashim Bhattacharya for Sadar (Urban), Biplab Chakraborty for Sepahijala (North), Uttam Das for Sepahijala (South), Sabita Nag for Gomati, and Dipayan Chowdhury for South (Pilak).

Dr. Roy emphasized that the BJP is a party with a difference, stating that the Sangathan Parv provides new hope, new leadership, and a renewed direction every three years. He proudly called BJP the world’s largest cadre-based mass party.

He also highlighted the BJP’s governance achievements in Tripura since 2018, describing it as a “double-engine government” working for the welfare of the people, particularly focusing on the poor, women, farmers, and youth. Dr. Roy pointed to significant developments in the state, including a rise in per capita income since the formation of the BJP government.
