Tripura BJP Leaders Condemn Persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh
Prominent leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura have strongly condemned the escalating violence against Hindu minorities and Hindu leaders in neighboring Bangladesh. Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, former Chief Minister and MP Biplab Kumar Deb, and BJP Tripura President Rajib Bhattacharya have called for immediate action to address the alarming situation.
The leaders’ concerns were triggered by the recent arrest of renowned ISKCON leader Swami Chinmoy Krishna Das and the ongoing attacks on Hindu communities in Bangladesh. Chief Minister Saha emphasized the historical significance of Sanatan Dharma and its resilience against adversity. He expressed resolute condemnation of those who seek to harm the faith.
Former Chief Minister Deb urged for concerted international efforts to address the undemocratic and inhumane treatment of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. He highlighted the violation of basic human rights and the targeting of religious institutions and spiritual leaders.
BJP State President Bhattacharya paid tribute to Swami Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu’s selfless service to humanity and his contributions to the cultural development of Bangladesh. He expressed deep concern over the false accusations leveled against ISKCON and the persecution of Hindu minorities. Bhattacharya demanded the immediate release of Swami Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu and called for the protection of Hindu communities in Bangladesh.
The BJP leaders’ strong stance reflects the growing international concern over the deteriorating human rights situation in Bangladesh. They have urged the Bangladesh government to take immediate steps to ensure the safety and security of Hindu minorities and to create an environment of peace and harmony.
