Tripura BJP Leaders Confident of Victory, Predict Over 400 Seats
Northeast Desk, 2nd June: Tripura BJP leaders expressed confidence in their victory, citing strong support from the people and predicting that the number of seats predicted in exit polls would surpass 400 by June 4.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma emphasized the party’s awareness of their victory, attributing it to the overwhelming support of the people. He stated that the BJP had anticipated crossing 400 seats even before the election, echoing the optimism repeatedly expressed by their leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dev Varma highlighted the public’s support and faith in PM Modi as driving factors behind the projected victory.
Responding to opposition claims questioning the feasibility of BJP’s victory, Dev Varma dismissed them, pointing out the significant differences between the current political landscape and past elections.
Similarly, BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharya echoed Dev Varma’s sentiments, stating that the number of seats predicted in exit polls would exceed 400 by June 4. Bhattacharya reiterated PM Modi’s commitment to ensuring a developed India and emphasized the support for Modi’s vision among the people.
Bhattacharya also criticized the INDI Bloc, accusing them of lacking determination and a coherent plan. He pointed to their leader Rahul Gandhi’s promises regarding poverty eradication, highlighting the absence of concrete solutions or plans. Bhattacharya further asserted that the public had rejected the INDI Bloc due to corruption allegations against its leaders.
