Northeast Desk, 16th March: Tripura BJP MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury, representing the Kalyanpur Assembly Constituency in Khowai district, sustained severe injuries in a road accident. The incident occurred when his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle in Khowai while he was en route to Agartala this afternoon.
Along with Pinaki Das Chowdhury, five others also sustained serious injuries in the collision. Pinaki was reportedly on his way to Agartala to participate in a party program for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.
Following the accident, Pinaki Das Chowdhury was promptly rushed to the hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment for his injuries.
