Guwahati: A constable of Border Security Force (BSF) was reportedly recovered dead at its headquarters in Khowai district of Tripura.
The deceased BSF constable has been identified as 32-year-old Balu Ram Kuri.
The deceased BSF policeman was assigned to the Khasiyamangal sector headquarters in the Teliamura region. He was performing sentry duty at the battalion headquarters
The head constable, who had arrived for system maintenance, reportedly saw the deceased lying in a pool of blood in the video conference room at the sector headquarters.
The cause of his death is yet to be ascertained.
“His body was discovered in a bloody pool. Our officers were on the scene quickly and transferred the body for an autopsy. Once the post-mortem report is obtained, the cause of the death will be known. Sonacharan Jamatia, Teliamura SDPO, stated that we have filed a case of an unnatural death.
