Tripura Cabinet Set for Expansion as Nalchar MLA Kishore Barman Joins Ministry
Agartala: The Tripura government is poised for a cabinet expansion today with the expected induction of Kishore Barman, the MLA representing the Nalchar Assembly Constituency. Sources within the state government have confirmed that the oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for this afternoon, precisely at 1:15 PM, at the stately Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan in Agartala.
His Excellency, Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the new minister, as confirmed by reliable sources from the Raj Bhavan. This significant development follows closely on the heels of a meeting between Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and Governor Reddy at Raj Bhavan just yesterday, where discussions regarding the cabinet expansion were reportedly held.
With the anticipated swearing-in of MLA Kishore Barman, the strength of the Tripura Council of Ministers is set to rise to a total of twelve, comprising eleven Cabinet Ministers and one Minister of State, Brishaketu Debbarma. While official confirmations from MLA Barman himself regarding his oath-taking ceremony were still awaited at the time of filing this report, the preparations at Raj Bhavan signal a clear move towards this expansion.
