Northeast Desk, 7th December: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on December 7 expressed his confidence that the BJP would set new records for vote margins in both of Tripura’s Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming 2024 election. This assurance was given during an organizational meeting of the BJP Janajati Morcha at the party’s state office in Agartala.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that the BJP consistently holds organizational meetings on various topics. This particular gathering involved Janajati leaders, including district presidents and Mandal presidents. Dr. Saha highlighted the party’s track record under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing victories in three states. He reiterated the party’s commitment to continuous effort, guided by the principle of ‘Seva hi Sangathan’ (service is organization).

The focus of the meeting centered on strengthening the party in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. With 20 Scheduled Tribe (ST) reserved seats, Dr. Saha outlined plans to determine the roles of Janajati Morchas, District Presidents, and Mandal presidents at the grassroots level. Strategies would be formulated, and leaders from all districts were in attendance.

Dr. Saha further explained that preparations for the Lok Sabha election had commenced well in advance. Vistarak (expansionist) teams would be dispatched to the 20 ST reserved seats from the current meeting. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the same government would be formed in the Lok Sabha. In Tripura, the expectation was to surpass the margin of votes from the previous year in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
