Tripura Chief Minister Reviews Law and Order, Emphasizes Coordination to Combat Drug Issues
Northeast Desk, 30th September: In a recent law and order review meeting with senior police officers, Chief Minister Manik Saha commended Tripura’s efforts in maintaining law and order, placing the state among the top performers nationally.
During the meeting, CM Saha addressed the unique challenges posed by the state’s proximity to Bangladesh, particularly concerning the ongoing drug problem. He underscored the need for enhanced coordination between state police, the Border Security Force (BSF), and other paramilitary forces to tackle these issues effectively.
The Chief Minister also called for regular field visits by officials, emphasizing that a hands-on approach is crucial for addressing security concerns in the state. “Coordination and on-ground efforts are key to overcoming the challenges we face,” he stated, reaffirming his government’s dedication to maintaining peace and security in Tripura.
Saha expressed confidence that the strategies discussed in the review meeting would lead to significant improvements in law enforcement effectiveness, ultimately benefiting the safety and well-being of the region’s residents.
