Tripura CM Celebrates ‘Parakram Diwas’ on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s Birth Anniversary

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on January 23 marked the 139th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by celebrating ‘Parakram Diwas’ in the state.

Speaking to the media, CM Saha emphasized the importance of the day, recalling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration in 2021 that Netaji’s birthday should be observed as ‘Parakram Diwas’. “Today, we are celebrating this occasion in honor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose,” the Chief Minister said.

CM Saha also highlighted the significance of a school in Tripura named after Netaji, where students participate in an annual rally to commemorate the event. Describing the celebration as a major occasion for the people of Tripura, he expressed his happiness in being part of the tribute to the freedom fighter’s legacy.

Additionally, he shared that the rally has been conducted since 1951, a long-standing tradition that reflects the state’s reverence for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
