Tripura CM Manik Saha Distributes Appointment Letters to 479 New Officials, Stresses Merit-Based Recruitment

Agartala: In a major push to boost employment and uphold transparency, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha recently handed over appointment letters to 479 newly recruited officials across various government departments.

The event marked another step in the state government’s commitment to providing fair job opportunities and reinforcing a merit-driven recruitment system.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, CM Saha highlighted that since the BJP took charge in Tripura, about 16,000 government jobs have been created. “Today, candidates have secured positions in departments like the Public Works Department (PWD), the Cooperative Bank, and the Social Welfare Department,” he said.

Saha emphasized that this recruitment drive aligns closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transparent and merit-based hiring. He added that the government’s focus on fairness is already showing results, with highly qualified candidates now strengthening the efficiency of government offices.

Importantly, Saha pointed out that the recruitment process is completely impartial, stating, “No one needs to approach political leaders or ministers for a job. As the Prime Minister has always said, merit alone should decide the appointments.”

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the state government remains dedicated to ensuring that deserving candidates are given opportunities based solely on their qualifications, building a more capable and accountable administration.
