Tripura CM Manik Saha Extends Support to Board Student Who Lost Study Materials in Fire

Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has extended a helping hand to Puja Das, a Class 12 student who lost all her study materials in a devastating fire that reduced her home to ashes.

The fire broke out at the residence of Narayan Das in Rajib Colony, Charilam, in Sepahijala district, leaving the family in distress just as Puja was preparing for her ongoing board exams.

The inferno destroyed all essential belongings, including Puja’s books and study materials for her upcoming History, Bengali, and Political Science examinations. Upon learning about the tragedy, Chief Minister Saha acted swiftly, directing the Sepahijala District Magistrate to provide immediate assistance to the affected family.

Following his instructions, the district administration promptly extended financial aid of ₹40,000 to the family. Additionally, officials have assured that Puja’s study materials will be restored by tomorrow, ensuring she can continue her exam preparations without disruption.

A district administration official stated that further assistance will be provided after a thorough verification process, reaffirming the government’s commitment to supporting those in need. The Chief Minister’s intervention has been widely appreciated, setting an example of compassionate governance at a crucial time.
