Tripura CM Manik Saha Inaugurates Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in Agartala

AGARTALA, TRIPURA — Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended a voluntary blood donation camp at Agartala’s Pragna Bhavan, where he interacted with donors and inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

During his visit, CM Saha commended the volunteer spirit of participants and emphasized the crucial role of regular blood donation in saving lives. He visited the donor area and acknowledged the positive contributions made by the participants.

The blood donation camp was organised by the Tripura State Blood Transfusion Council (TSBTC) and witnessed active involvement from various segments of society.

Earlier, on April 26, while inaugurating a blood donation camp on the occasion of the 70th foundation day of the Deed Writers’ Association, CM Saha highlighted the state government’s efforts toward the welfare of the people. He remarked on Tripura’s significant role in blood donation across the country and expressed hope that this positive trend would continue.

The Chief Minister also spoke on the important role of the Deed Writers’ Association, noting that their work in handling land and property matters for the public carries great social responsibility. He also pointed out that the blood donation camp organized by the association would send a positive message to society.

Tripura currently has 14 blood banks, including 12 government-run and two private ones. CM Saha confirmed that more blood banks are planned for the future, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance blood donation systems and improve public welfare.
