Tripura CM Manik Saha Invites Investors to Explore Business Opportunities in Northeast
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged investors to capitalize on the abundant business opportunities in the northeastern state, assuring full support from the state government for industrial ventures. His call to action came during the Northeast Trade and Investment Road Show held in Mumbai on Monday, a key initiative aimed at attracting regional investment.
In a statement released by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) on Tuesday, Saha extended his gratitude to the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) for facilitating the platform, which seeks to showcase the investment potential of the Northeast to key stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, Saha underscored the historical challenges that the northeastern region has faced in terms of development but noted that the scenario has transformed significantly under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the Act East Policy. He highlighted that the policy has brought renewed focus and priority to the region, paving the way for growth and infrastructural advancements.
“Tripura, with its strategic location and unique socio-economic landscape, offers vast growth potential and opportunities for investors,” Saha said. He emphasized the state’s advantageous position as a gateway to Southeast Asia, pointing to its proximity to Bangladesh and access to international trade routes.
The Northeast Trade and Investment Road Show is part of a broader effort to integrate the northeastern states into India’s economic growth story, creating new opportunities for trade, infrastructure, and industry in the region. Saha’s invitation reflects Tripura’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting investments that can drive economic development in the state.
