Northeast, 7th October: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha highlighted the significant role of lawyers in building a healthy society. He emphasized the need to strengthen coordination between lawyers and the police to ensure the punishment of criminals in various cases, including those related to NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances).
During a meeting with all Prosecuting Lawyers of Tripura, Dr. Saha expressed the government’s commitment to solving infrastructure-related issues for the convenience of lawyers and bar members.
He stated, “By being a lawyer, you give a voice that sends a powerful message to society. Lawyers have a very important role to play in building a strong and healthy society.”
Dr. Saha emphasized that lawyers are the face of society and people have high expectations from them. He called for collaboration between lawyers and investigating officers in cases to ensure that justice is delivered promptly and without harassment.
Furthermore, he urged lawyers to expedite the resolution of pending important cases in various courts. The Chief Minister underlined that the future of Tripura depends on lawyers, and their efforts are crucial in maintaining law and order in the state.
