Tripura CM Manik Saha to Attend High-Level Meeting in Guwahati on March 16
Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha will visit Guwahati on March 16 to participate in a high-level meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The meeting will focus on the implementation of three newly enacted criminal laws designed to reform India’s justice system. The CM will depart from Tripura on March 15, according to sources from the Tripura government.
Ahead of the meeting, CM Saha chaired a review session on March 10 to assess Tripura’s readiness for implementing these laws. Senior officials from the Tripura Police, including Chief Secretary JK Sinha, DGP Amitabh Ranjan, and others, attended the session.
In a Facebook post, CM Saha shared details of the meeting, stating, “Chaired a review meeting on implementation of three new major Criminal Acts in Tripura. All stakeholders like home, police, law, prosecution, forensic, health, and prison were present.”
He highlighted the importance of training and capacity-building programs for law enforcement and directed all relevant departments to ensure smooth implementation of the new laws.
