Tripura CM Orders Swift Action on Pending Projects, Prioritizes Public Welfare

Agartala; In a decisive move to accelerate development, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has mandated state departments to expedite all pending projects, with a firm emphasis on ensuring that public life remains undisturbed.

This directive was issued during an extensive review meeting held at the Manu Government Dak Bungalow on April 13th, where CM Saha underscored the critical need for timely execution and uncompromising quality standards.

“Development must reach the grassroots efficiently. Delays are unacceptable, especially when the lives of people are directly impacted,” he asserted.

The meeting, focused on evaluating the advancement of various developmental initiatives within the Dhalai district, encompassed key sectors such as public works, water and sanitation, rural development, power, education, health, and forestry.

Officials from these departments provided detailed progress reports, outlining both achievements and existing challenges.

The gathering saw the presence of numerous key figures, including Dhalai Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Sushmita Das, MLAs Shambhu Lal Chakma, MDCS Sanjay Das and Hangsakumar Tripura, Dhalai Zonal Development Chairperson Premlal Molsom, District Magistrate Saju Wahid A, Superintendent of Police Mihirlal Das, and Director of Information and Cultural Affairs Bimbisar Bhattacharya, among others.

Simultaneously, on Sunday, Chief Minister Saha inaugurated the 51st State-Level Biju Mela in the Dhalai district. This five-day festival, celebrating the traditional New Year of the Chakma community, runs from April 13th to April 17th.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by a diverse gathering of dignitaries, including members of the Chakma and local communities, and commenced with traditional rituals and cultural performances.

In his inaugural address, CM Saha highlighted the Biju Mela’s pivotal role in fostering cultural unity and preserving the traditions of the Chakma community. He commended the organisers’ efforts and encouraged widespread participation from all communities to promote harmony and mutual respect.
