Tripura CM Slams CPIM and Congress, Praises PM Modi’s Development Efforts

Northeast Desk, 31st March: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha criticized the CPIM and Congress for their governance failures in Tripura, accusing them of pushing the state towards destruction. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives for the state’s development during an interaction program called ‘Manthan’ at the Muktadhara Auditorium in Agartala today.

With the Lok Sabha polls approaching, the CM urged attendees to spread PM Modi’s message to the masses.

“We never anticipated such peace in Tripura. Tranquility was imperative here. The ideologies of CPIM and Congress were rejected by the people. In the early ’70s, Tripura witnessed violence instigated by these parties. They have left a legacy of destruction. Despite ruling for over 25 years, CPIM and Congress failed to contribute positively to the state,” stated Dr. Saha.

He expressed disappointment in Congress, stating that despite being seen as an alternative, they did little for the welfare of the people.

“Since 2014, significant development has been witnessed. PM Modi prioritizes the people’s welfare and introduces beneficial schemes. CPIM’s divisive tactics have been rejected by the people. Despite predictions of their resurgence in 2023, they are nowhere to be seen. The era before and after 2014 will be a subject of research. The UPA government was marred by scams, but now different communities coexist peacefully,” Dr. Saha concluded.
