Tripura Expands DNA Club Initiative to Foster Scientific Learning Among Students and Teachers
Agartala: The Department of Science and Technology in Tripura organized a one-day training program for the DNA Club at Pragna Bhawan, aimed at promoting scientific awareness and innovation among students and teachers.
The initiative, which has rapidly grown over the past year, reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing education through advanced science and technology.
Inaugurating the event, Science and Technology Minister Animesh Debbarma highlighted the transformative potential of integrating science into education.
Stressing the importance of innovation, Debbarma remarked, “The DNA Club was launched to make scientific knowledge accessible and applicable for students and teachers. It’s a step toward ensuring that science becomes an essential part of education in every corner of Tripura.”
Initially launched in 37 schools, the initiative has now expanded to 170 institutions across the state. Debbarma expressed his vision of reaching every school and college, ensuring widespread awareness and application of the program’s methodologies.
He emphasized the collaborative nature of the training, bringing together students, teachers, and experts to create a dynamic learning environment.
The Minister underlined the importance of breaking traditional barriers in education by fostering interactions between educators and scientists. “This platform enables us to learn, teach, and share knowledge collectively. Science is the cornerstone of progress, and for India to achieve global recognition, we must embrace it as a way of life,” he asserted.
The event saw active participation from experts in various scientific fields who shared their insights and engaged with attendees. Teachers and students benefited from interactive sessions that bridged the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications.
With its focus on innovation, collaboration, and accessibility, the DNA Club initiative continues to make strides in transforming the educational landscape in Tripura, positioning the state as a model for integrating science into everyday learning.
