Tripura Government Aims to Enhance Nursing Education

Agartala: The Tripura government is exploring opportunities to improve nursing education in the state, announced Chief Minister Manik Saha.

This statement came after he felicitated six candidates as Nursing Caregivers under the Specified Skill Workers Scheme at TIFT. These students have been given the opportunity to work in Japan as nursing professionals.

The six students will join the nursing profession in Japan after receiving training under the Mukhya Mantri Dakhyata Unnayan Prakalpa. An MoU has been signed with Japan to facilitate this opportunity.

CM Saha congratulated the students, stating that those trained in ANM, GNM, and (link unavailable) Nursing have been given the chance to work in Japan. To prepare for this opportunity, the students have been sent to Noida to acquire Japanese language skills.

CM Saha expressed his pride in the project, stating that it is a matter of “great pride” for Tripura. He emphasized the importance of nursing as a service profession and encouraged the students to make India and Tripura proud by doing their best work in Japan. The students will receive a salary of more than Rs 1 lakh while working in Japan.

The event was attended by Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury, State Government Secretary Kiran Gitte, and other officials. CM Saha’s announcement highlights the Tripura government’s efforts to enhance nursing education and provide global opportunities for its students.
