Tripura Government and IAF Intensify Flood Relief Operations, Thousands of Aid Packets Dispatched

Northeast, August 24 In a concerted effort to alleviate the suffering caused by the recent floods in Tripura, state government officials, in partnership with the Indian Air Force (IAF), have been tirelessly working to deliver essential supplies to flood-stricken regions. Beginning as early as 4:00 am today, the coordinated relief operation has seen the dispatch of thousands of aid packets to communities in urgent need.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha provided an update on the extensive relief efforts, highlighting both the scale and the urgency of the operations. “As of this morning, we have successfully dispatched 3,000 relief packets, with an additional 5,000 prepared for distribution. Four helicopters have been deployed to ensure that critical supplies reach the most affected areas,” Dr. Saha stated.

He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that all necessary resources are provided to those impacted by the disaster. “We will continue to deliver relief packets with the same promptness as yesterday. Every possible avenue is being explored to guarantee that essential supplies reach affected areas swiftly. Our dedication to supporting these communities throughout this crisis remains firm,” the Chief Minister added.
