Tripura Government Partners with NASSCOM to Revolutionize Academic Digital Skills

Northeast Desk, 9th July: In a landmark initiative aimed at bolstering digital skills and fostering innovation, the Tripura government has forged a strategic partnership with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM). The collaboration, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will integrate FutureSkills Prime, a digital skilling initiative by MeiTY-NASSCOM, into Tripura’s academic framework.

  • NITI Aayog’s Endorsement: NITI Aayog announced the MoU via X (formerly Twitter), underscoring its significance in enhancing digital skills among Tripura’s youth. The initiative targets proficiency in AI, ML, blockchain, and other cutting-edge technologies, aligning with India’s vision for a developed nation by 2047, known as Viksit Bharat.
  • Strategic Objectives: The collaboration, supported under NITI Aayog’s State Support Mission, aims to empower Tripura’s burgeoning youth population with essential digital competencies. This move is expected to prepare them for thriving careers in a rapidly evolving digital economy.
  • NASSCOM’s Perspective: Expressing optimism, NASSCOM highlighted the transformative impact of the MoU, stating, “This strategic move, facilitated by NITI Aayog, will empower our youth with AI, ML, blockchain skills, and more. Here’s to a digitally advanced India!”

The MoU signing ceremony featured:

  • Raval Hamendra Kumar, Education Secretary, Tripura
  • Dr. Upmith Singh, Strategy and Operations Head, NASSCOM
