Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu Assigned Additional Charge as Mizoram Governor

National Desk, 27th September: Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu has been entrusted with the additional responsibility of serving as the Governor of Mizoram, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Thursday. The appointment comes as Mizoram’s current Governor, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, takes a leave of absence.

In an official statement, the President’s office confirmed the decision: “The President of India is pleased to appoint Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Mizoram, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati.”

Dr. Kambhampati, who has been serving as Mizoram’s Governor since his appointment in July 2021, is currently on leave, necessitating the temporary appointment. Governor Nallu will manage the duties of both states until Kambhampati’s return.

This dual role for Governor Nallu reflects the routine administrative adjustments made during the absence of a state governor, ensuring smooth governance in Mizoram during the interim period.
