Tripura Launches Comprehensive Digital Initiatives to Boost Government Efficiency and Transparency

Northeast Desk, 2nd July: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced significant strides in enhancing government transparency and efficiency through digital initiatives during the launch of the e-Panchayat event at the Secretariat on July 2.

Highlighting the milestone, CM Saha stated, “We have successfully implemented the e-Office platform across all panchayats in the state, setting a national benchmark.” He awarded certificates to departments achieving full implementation of the e-Office and applauded their efforts in deploying the Beneficiary Management System (BMS) effectively.

“The introduction of the e-Cabinet system ensures rapid service delivery and prompt issue resolution,” Saha emphasized, underscoring the transformative impact of digitization on governance.

Currently, 587 Gram Panchayats, 589 Village Council Offices, 4 District Panchayat Offices, 4 PRTIs, 35 Panchayat Samitis, 40 Block Advisory Committees, and 8 District Councils have adopted the e-Office system. Integration into critical departments like Information and Cultural Affairs, Education, and Urban Development further enhances operational transparency and service efficiency.

The successful implementation of the Beneficiary Management System (BMS) reflects Tripura’s commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Digital India. “We are dedicated to digitizing all sectors within the state,” CM Saha affirmed, signaling a comprehensive approach to modernizing administrative processes.

The digital initiatives are poised to streamline governance, promote transparency, and bolster accountability across Tripura’s administrative landscape.
