Tripura: Pradyot Debbarma Calls for Action Against Corruption Within Tipra Motha

Agartala: Tipra Motha Party (TMP) founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on February 21 issued a strong call to action, urging his party workers to stand against corruption carried out in the name of the party.

In an emphatic voice note, Pradyot emphasized that a faction of Tipra Motha workers is actively working to eliminate corruption. Expressing concern over his name being misused, he urged his followers to remain vigilant and act with integrity.

“I want to ask my warriors—my name is being tarnished, and you people are sitting idle. If you don’t have credibility or honesty, no matter how much money you earn, you will not find happiness. I urge everyone to fight against corruption. Corruption will create massive problems for our people and for society,” he stated.

The royal scion of Tripura further warned that staying silent in the face of corruption would ultimately harm the indigenous community. He stressed that individuals engaged in corrupt practices must not be supported under any circumstances.

“I want to request everyone not to support those engaging in corruption in the name of Tipra Motha. Everybody must fight against this. I am fighting for you in Delhi, and everyone must contribute to eliminating such activities for the betterment of our community,” he added.

Pradyot’s statement came in the wake of a viral video on social media showing two TMP workers confronting a government employee allegedly taking a bribe. The incident has sparked conversations about accountability and integrity within the party ranks.
