Tripura: Principal Collapses, CM’s Timely Aid Sparks Gratitude at Amtali School Event

Agartala: A routine school inauguration at Amtali Higher Secondary School, nestled in the outskirts of Agartala, transformed into a scene of urgent concern when Principal Ratna Chowdhury unexpectedly collapsed on stage during the school programme this past April 22nd.

Amidst the unfolding crisis, Chief Minister Manik Saha, who was present to officiate the inauguration of the school’s newly constructed building, displayed an extraordinary act of immediate intervention. Without hesitation, he rushed to the principal’s side, providing crucial first aid until qualified medical personnel could arrive.

The chief minister’s rapid and compassionate response played a pivotal role in ensuring that Principal Chowdhury received prompt medical attention, leading to her subsequent recovery shortly after the incident.

The event, which was scheduled to include the virtual inauguration of new educational facilities at Henry Derozio Academy, Gandhigram H.S. School, Taltala H.S. School, Indranagar High School, and Nandan Nagar H.S. School, took an unexpected turn, highlighting the chief minister’s dual role as both a political leader and the state’s health minister.

The demonstration of empathy and decisive action by Chief Minister Saha resonated deeply with the students, faculty, and attendees present, transforming a moment of potential distress into a powerful testament to human compassion and leadership.
