Tripura: Sepahijala District Administration Issues Show-Cause Notices to 39 Government Employees for Tardiness
Northeast Desk, 22nd July: The Sepahijala District Administration of Tripura has issued show-cause notices to 39 government employees for failing to adhere to office timings. District Magistrate Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal, IAS, emphasized the importance of punctuality and proper job performance to ensure that the public receives timely services and benefits.
In a statement to reporters, Jaiswal highlighted that the government has set specific office hours, expecting employees to follow these timings to dedicate their efforts to public service. The notice aims to reinforce this principle among government officials and employees.
Show-cause notices have been served to employees in the District Magistrate’s Office, Sub-divisional Magistrate’s Office, and the office of the Block Development Officer. The District Magistrate pointed out that the administration uses a biometric system for attendance, revealing that some employees were consistently late and not following the set timings.
“The intention of the show cause notice is to ensure punctuality and proper job performance so that the public does not face any issues and can receive benefits. Public service should be more efficient and timely,” said Jaiswal. He added that responses to the show-cause notices are being reviewed, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the replies.
The administration’s action underscores its commitment to improving efficiency and accountability in public service.
