Tripura: Tipra Motha calls Off 12 hours bandh on Jan 23

Guwahati: Tipra Motha has called a 12-hour bandh on January 23 in the Kamalapur Sub Division of the Dhalai district in response to the murder of a party member.

While condemning the murder of Tipra Motha Dal worker, Pranajit Namasudra Tripura’s royal scion and TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarman on January 19 said that he and his party are with his family and will provide all possible support to the family members. Debbarman said that Pranajit Namasudra was a warrior and his sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarman shared a live video on Facebook in which he stated that violence in politics is not at all acceptable. He claimed that social division brought on by political violence is what caused one of his employees to pass away.

The death of Pranajit Namasudra was attributed by Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarman to the Election Commission of India and the Tripura Police and he demanded that they be prepared to respond.

” Where are the police personnel now ? What happened to election Commission of India’s ‘Mission Zero Poll Violence’ ? What exactly is happening in Tripura ?” Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarman questioned.
