Tripura to Host Replicas of 51 Shakti Peethas, Rs 97.70 Crore Project Approved by Union Ministry of Tourism
Agartala: The Union Ministry of Tourism has given the green light to a ₹97.70 crore project aimed at constructing replicas of the 51 Shakti Peethas at Bandowar in Tripura’s Udaipur, situated in Gomati District. This ambitious project is expected to transform Bandowar into a major tourist hotspot in the coming years.
Tripura Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowhdury shared the exciting news on his official social media handle, expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha for their support. Chief Minister Saha also acknowledged the Union Ministry’s approval, stating that the ’51 Shakti Peethas Park’ at Bandaur in Gomati District will be developed with the allocated funds.
The replicas of the 51 Shakti Peethas will undoubtedly attract tourists and devotees alike, providing a unique opportunity to experience the cultural and spiritual significance of these revered sites.
