Tripura: Tripurasundari Puja to Be Live-Streamed for the First Time during Diwali Celebrations

Northeast Desk, 11th November: In an unprecedented move, the Diwali Mela and puja of Tripurasundari Temple are set to be live-streamed for the first time, embracing technology to reach every corner of Tripura.

Tripurasundari, revered as one of India’s fifty-one Hindu pithas, holds a sacred significance in Tripura, drawing devotees and pilgrims.

Addressing the development, Abhishek Debroy, the BJP MLA of Mata Bari Assembly Constituency, shared that preparations for the Diwali Mela are in full swing, with distinctive illuminations underway.

“For the first time, live streaming will capture the essence of the puja and festivities across the state. The State government is facilitating screens for this purpose,” stated the MLA.

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is slated to inaugurate the three-day fair, anticipating a turnout of approximately 9 lakh people. The temple will be adorned with natural flowers, and provisions for the well-being of visiting saints during Diwali Mela are in place.

With 16 stalls showcasing government development initiatives and 600 shops offering diverse items, the fair is poised to be a cultural extravaganza. Ticket sales for 6,664 shops have reportedly generated significant funds. Cultural programs, musical shows, fireworks, and various attractions are part of the festivities.

Organizers assure robust security and efficient traffic management, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees.
