Tripura: Union Home Minister Amit Shah Applauds PM Modi’s Tribal Empowerment Initiatives in Agartala

Northeast Desk, 15th April: During a public rally in Tripura’s Agartala, Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives aimed at uplifting tribal communities in India.

Shah praised PM Modi’s groundbreaking decision to appoint Droupadi Murmu as the President of the country, marking a historic moment for tribal representation in top leadership positions.

In his address, Shah emphasized, “PM Modi has worked tirelessly to enhance the dignity of tribals… For the first time in 75 years of independence, PM Narendra Modi has honored the tribals by appointing Droupadi Murmu as the President of the country.” This recognition of Murmu’s leadership role underscores the government’s commitment to empowering marginalized communities and promoting inclusivity in national governance.

Shah’s visit to Agartala was not only a significant political engagement but also a momentous occasion. He arrived in the city yesterday evening and received a warm welcome from Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Union Minister of State Pratima Bhoumik, BJP Candidate Biplab Kumar Deb, Former Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, BJP General Secretaries Amit Rakshit and Bipin Debbarma, along with MLA Bhagaban Das at the MBB Airport.
