Tripura’s Aradhya Das Wins Bronze at Asian Youth Chess Championship

Northeast Desk, 22nd June: Tripura’s young chess prodigy, Aradhya Das, has won the bronze medal at the Asian Youth Under-10 Girls’ Chess Championship in Kazakhstan. The tournament concluded recently, showcasing Das’s remarkable talent and determination.

In a gripping final round, Das triumphed over Milana Filippova (KAZ, 1633), securing victory with the black pieces. Her final score of 6.5 points earned her a commendable third place, firmly establishing her as a formidable player on the international stage.

The gold medal was clinched by Alisa Genrietta Yunker (KAZ) with an impressive 8.5 points, while WCM Alanna Berikkyzy (KAZ) took the silver with 7 points.

Aradhya Das’s achievement is a significant milestone in her budding career, garnering praise from her coaches, teachers, and supporters in Tripura. Her success highlights her potential as a rising star in the chess world, inspiring young players across the country.
