Guwahati, 26th September: A truck loaded with over 300 cartons of Arunachal-made liquor met with an accident on Tuesday at Shantipur in Jamugurihat, Assam. The truck, with the registration number UP-86T-9861, overturned on the side of National Highway 15.
The accident revealed the transportation of a significant quantity of illegal liquor, leading to concerns about the illicit liquor trade across state borders. The driver of the truck managed to escape the scene before local authorities, including the Jamugurihat police, arrived to seize the illegal liquor.
