Guwahati: In the ongoing drive against illicit and illegal Indian-made Foreign Liquor (IMFL)in the state, Assam Police seized a container truck carrying IMFL bottles.
Following input from a source a joint operation was conducted by Sonitpur Police and Excise Department on Monday and seized a truck with the registration number RJ 14GG 0423. The truck was full of IMFL bottles.
According to reports, the truck was coming from Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, and was detained at Balipara Naka checking under Chariduar.
Sharing the news on Twitter Sonitpur Police wrote, “Yesterday on 02.01.2022 based on source input a joint operation was conducted by Sonitpur Police and Excise Deptt. A container truck bearing Rgn.no RJ 14GG 0423 coming from Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh was detained at Balipara Naka checking under Chariduar.”
