In the wee hours of Wednesday one truck bearing registration number AS 09 AC 6398 carrying sand from Lumding for construction work of MAC quarter North Cachar Hills Autonomous council (NCHAC) met with an accident near NCHAC staff quarters.
A person named Raju Sunar aged about 36 years was also injured in the accident as the truck had hit the quarter where he was sleeping. The man was seriously injured and have been sent to Halfong Civil Hospital for further treatment.
